District Disaster Management Officer Nandan Singh Rajwar said that today at 7 am on Friday, the Heli of Cretan Aviation Company had taken off for Kedarnath carrying six passengers. Due to a technical glitch, the helicopter made an emergency landing about 100 meters before the Kedarnath helipad.
Pilot Kalpesh showed wisdom and made a safe landing in the emergency situation, in which all the devotees are safe and secure. During the incident, police and administration officials and employees went to the spot and helped the passengers and took them to the temple. DGCA will investigate the emergency landing of Crystal Company’s helicopter in Kedarnath Dham. Garhwal Commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey said that due to technical faults in the tail rotor of the helicopter, the pilot made a soft landing very wisely. There were six passengers from Tamil Nadu in the helicopter.
