Maiden came with husband, mourning in the family, Almora incident
Almora. After 10 days of marriage, the body of the newly married woman who returned to her maternal home with her husband died in suspicious condition. The dead body was found hanging from the noose. There is mourning in the village due to the death of the newly married woman. The police have taken the body into custody and sent it for postmortem.
Manisha (23), daughter of Lal Singh Bora, a resident of Nag village under Almora tehsil, was married to UP Nandan Singh on May 10. After the marriage, the newly married couple had come to Manisha’s maternal home. Manisha cooked vegetables in the kitchen and went to the room asking her younger sister to knead the dough. After sometime around 9.30 pm when Manisha’s mother went to the room to call Manisha, the ground slipped under her feet.
The family members were shocked to see Manisha hanging in the noose. The family reached Someshwar sub-district hospital with Manisha. Doctors in the hospital declared the girl dead.
On information, the police took the dead body into custody and inquired about the incident from the family members. The police has started investigating the matter
