Two-day bird festival organized, bird expert photographer and writer included
Tanakpur. The Book Fair Steering Committee organized the Bird Festival. Many bird expert photographers and writers from across the state participated in it. Experts said that there are more than four hundred species of birds in the area itself.
The two-day bird festival started from the gate of Nandhor Wildlife Sanctuary located at Kakrali Gate. Committee Secretary Naval Kishore Tiwari said that bird experts did bird watching at Nandhor Wildlife Sanctuary, Kiroda Rokhad, Ucholigoth and Sharda Barrage. Bird and wildlife expert Rajesh Bhatt from Ramnagar told that the purpose of the event is to understand the world of birds. There are more than 400 types of bird species in Tanakpur area alone. He told that during the bird watching, E-great, Barbet, Blue Whistling, Thasco, Oriole, Horn bird etc. were seen.
