Dehradun. Now ‘U Kha’ will be written in Hindi instead of English code ‘UK’ on the number plate of vehicles in Uttarakhand. Language Minister Subodh Uniyal has approved this proposal. This decision has been taken under the Official Language Act 2009, which aims to promote Hindi in government work. This change will be implemented soon, which will give a new direction to the promotion of Hindi in the state. The Transport Department has started preparations to implement this system.
