Security guard of cash delivery vehicle fired from rifle, colleague died

Bullet fired due to sudden fall of rifle, police engaged in investigation of the incident

Haridwar. Outside the Bank of Baroda outside Premnagar Ashram, his co-worker was killed when his security guard’s rifle fell from the cash delivery vehicle. Jwalapur police has taken the dead body in possession and sent it for postmortem.
The incident took place on Monday evening around 4 pm. The cash delivery vehicle of Ambe Security, which carries out the task of transporting cash from banks, had reached the Bank of Baroda branch Premnagar Ashram in the evening to drop off the cash. After depositing the cash in the bank, the security personnel started going back. Meanwhile, Rawli Mehdood, a resident of security guard Jitendra, picked up his licensed rifle from the vehicle. As soon as the rifle was picked up, it fell down. As soon as the rifle fell down, due to the bullet being fired, Aditya’s son Suresh, age 25, resident of Jagjitpur Kankhal, who was standing nearby, was hit in the stomach.
There was chaos as soon as the bullet was fired. In a hurry, the blood-soaked employee was taken to Ramakrishna Mission Hospital in Kankhal, where doctors declared him brought dead. On the information of firing, Kotwali in-charge Kundan Singh Rana, SSI Santosh Semwal reached the spot. The police took information regarding the incident from the security guard.
The Kotwali in-charge told that an inquiry will be conducted in this regard as to how the bullet was fired when the rifle fell. The body of the employee has been taken into possession and sent for postmortem. Information is also being collected from the relatives of the deceased. The footage of the CCTV camera installed in the bank branch is also being checked
