Raid in the capital on complaint of running prostitution business
Dehradun. On Wednesday, the police raided the spa centers. Raids were conducted on the complaint of running prostitution business in spa centers. Police got 61 spa centers closed. While challaning 32 centers under the Police Act, a fine of Rs 2.70 lakh has been imposed. On the instructions of DIG Dehradun Dalip Singh Kunwar, the campaign started in the district on Wednesday morning. Educational certificates of therapists, CCTV footage and records of clients were checked at the centres. During checking, standards were not met in a large number of centres. This action was taken in spa-stays located in Dalanwala, Nehru Colony, Vasant Vihar, Rajpur, Cantt, Kotwali Nagar, Patel Nagar and Raipur police station areas.
