Rudpur. In a quarrel between two people, the young man lost his life trying to intervene. There was a dispute between two laborers over drinking beedi in front of the Government Inter College ground at Sitarganj in Udham Singh Nagar district. The accused, who was defending the third laborer, attacked him in the neck and stomach with a sharp knife and killed him. While the other laborer saved his life by running away. After the massacre sensation spread in the area. The police arrested the accused.
According to the events received, on Wednesday, hundreds of laborers gathered at the labor stand to go for wages, there were also people around to take the laborers to work. At around eight o’clock in the morning, Hanif, a resident of ward number one Chintimajra, had a dispute with Taufiq Ahmed, a labourer, over beedi. Seeing the dispute, laborer Rajjan Saini (40) son Mishri Lal Hall resident of Ganesh Mandir Colony and permanent police station Barkheda Paontakala Pilibhit rescued both of them.
Enraged Haneef brought a sharp knife from a nearby chicken shop and slit Rajjan’s stomach and hands with a knife. Due to which he died on the spot. After the murder, sensation spread on the spot. An atmosphere of panic was created in the market and the city as well.
On information, Kotwal Bhupendra Singh Brijwal reached the scene of the police force and took the body of the deceased into custody. After this Kotwal Brijwal also collected evidence from the spot. The deceased is survived by three daughters and two sons. SP City Manoj Kumar Katyal told that the accused Hanif has been arrested after registering a case on the Tahrir of the deceased’s wife Kamla Devi
