Five people were killed and nine seriously injured when a truck rammed into a group of Baratis near Satighar Sahi in Keonjhar district late on Tuesday night.
A baraat was on its way to a wedding on National Highway 20. Then the truck came at a high speed near Satighar and ran over the group. In the accident, five people, including the groom’s nephew, died on the spot and nine people were seriously injured. The deceased have been identified as Jeet Patra of Manpur village, Kalia Mahant, Ratimunda of Laxmipada, Amit Patra of Satighar and Bapun Dehuri of Keut Sahi.
