Incident outside Amrapali Platinum Society, Noida
Noida. Two youths, including the engineer in it, were burnt alive when a car caught fire on Saturday morning outside Amrapali Platinum Society located in Sector-119. Both were 27 years old.
CFO Pradeep Kumar Choubey said that a security guard of the society informed the fire department in the morning that a white Swift car had turned into a ball of fire. When the fire in the car was being extinguished with the help of the fire brigade, the bodies of Vijay and Anas were found in it. It was a petrol car, whose registration number was Ghaziabad. The car belonged to Vijay. Vijay was a software engineer, while Anas was managing his father’s furniture business.
According to Additional DCP Shakti Mohan Awasthi, in the CCTV footage of the incident, the car reached outside the society at 6.08 in the morning and caught fire shortly after. Both the youths present inside the car could not get out.
The cause of the fire is not clear yet.
It is suspected that the gate of the car could not be opened due to it being centrally locked. Vijay lived with his mother and sister in Amrapali Platinum Society, while Anas lived with his family in Sector-53.
Preliminary investigation has revealed that both the youth were childhood friends and had gone out to attend a birthday party at around 11 pm on Friday night. On Saturday morning both of them reached outside the society by car. They were about to enter the society when the car burst into flames.
