Patwari, JE-AE recruitment exam case: Protest against lathi charge in Dehradun

Dehradun. There has been outrage across the state after a protest in Dehradun on Thursday demanding a CBI inquiry into the leak in Patwari, JE-AE recruitment examinations and postponement of recruitment examinations till the anti-cheating law is implemented. Many organizations, including the Congress, have come out in support of the youth. There are sit-ins and demonstrations across the state. Apart from Dehradun, police force has been deployed in many districts with the imposition of Section 144. However, the Uttarakhand bandh on Friday has not been successful on the call of the unemployed organization.
There was a lot of ruckus in Dehradun on Thursday. Police resorted to baton charge to disperse the crowd of protesting youths. Many people on both sides were injured. The unemployed had started satyagraha outside Gandhi Park on Wednesday. They were picked up by the police late at night. Angered by this, the youth started gathering in Gandhi Park on Thursday morning. In a short time, thousands of young men and women gathered. They blocked the road on both sides in front of Gandhi Park.
