Haldwani . Mahashivratri festival is on Chaturdashi date of Krishna Paksha of Phalgun month. One of the major festivals in Hinduism, Mahashivaratri is the ritual of worshiping Lord Shiva. According to religious beliefs, the auspicious marriage of Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati took place on this day. Along with duly worshiping and fasting on this day, some measures can also be adopted. Apart from this, if you want, you can also wear Rudraksh. Rudraksha is considered to be a part and parcel of Lord Shankar. Know what things to keep in mind while wearing Rudraksh. Wearing the Rudraksha that originated from the tears of Lord Shiva bestows auspicious results. The person gets rid of negative energy. Along with this, many diseases are also protected.
Rules for wearing Rudraksha
• According to the scriptures, Rudraksh should always be worn around the neck, wrist or heart.
• If wearing in hand, then wear 12 beads, 108 beads in heart and 36 beads in neck.
• If you do not want to wear more Rudraksh, then you can wear one bead of Rudraksh in a red thread till the heart.
• Rudraksh can be worn on Monday, Mahashivratri or in the month of Sawan only.
• Rudraksh should never be worn in a black thread.
• Don’t give Rudraksh as a gift to anyone or take it from someone else.
• According to the scriptures, Rudraksha should never be taken to the cremation ground. This gives inauspicious results.
• Rudraksha should be avoided during the birth of a new born or even where a new born child is born.
• Women should avoid wearing Rudraksha during menstruation. It is believed that wearing Rudraksha during this time makes it impure.
• Don’t consume meat and alcohol while wearing Rudraksh.
• Never keep Rudraksh dirty. From time to time, keep cleaning the Rudraksha with Gangajal, so that its purity remains.
