Dehradun. Earth shook due to earthquake on Tuesday. Earthquake tremors were felt in many parts of Garhwal and Kumaon at around 2:29 pm. The epicenter of the earthquake is being told as Nepal. At the same time, according to the Pithoragarh Disaster Management Department, the intensity of the earthquake has been measured at 5.8 magnitude. Chamoli District Disaster Management Officer Nandkishore Joshi said that mild tremors have been felt. There is no information of damage from anywhere.
According to information, strong tremors were felt in Chamoli, Dehradun, Srinagar Garhwal, Champawat, Pantnagar, Bhimtal, Bageshwar, Haldwani, Rudrapur, Paharpani and Nainital. People came out of houses and shops as soon as the earthquake was felt. There was an earthquake in Pithoragarh district earlier on Sunday as well. Whose focal point was Pithoragarh district. According to seismologists, Uttarakhand is very sensitive to earthquakes. Most of the areas of Uttarakhand are in zone four and five in terms of earthquake. That’s why frequent occurrences of earthquakes are being seen.
